The major downfall is that Gameloft knows all too well that this is one of the best racers for the windows app store due to the current limited 3d racer selection, so the premium game update pack that's available for purchase within the game, currently costs. You need to receive a set amount of stars to continue on to new tracks, so a lot of re-playing may be necessary if you want it to remain 'free'. It is labelled as a free game to install and play, and to an extent this is true, as you do not need to purchase any in-game 'upgrade' packs (which cost real money) to get a great deal of gameplay out of this. It runs very well on a modern budget laptop even with integrated graphics, there are no major frame rate drops, and it isn't too glitchy either (some people may experience headlight flicker of other cars, or the in-game menu might not display everything on a small screen, but it is nothing major). The dramatic crashes and graphics remind me of Burnout, but the car control, drifting style and in-game music lends itself a lot more to Ridge Racer.
